This is a really neat site that gives weather conditions recorded by ships at sea and includes a ship tracker that gives the location of ships around the world.

Ship Finder
This site shows the location of ships around the world. You can zoom in on the map of Sydney Harbour and see where the ferrys are and watch there location update. Neat site!

Dept of Lands Imagery
This has up to date aerial views of property. It will ask you to install a plug-in the first time you use it. Once it loads you can click "Take me to: Address" then enter your address. The address should appear in the Results then select that result. Images are generally more detailed and up to date than things like Google Earth.

Landview
This offers aerial views of Sydney. You can find your own house or explore Sydney Harbour. If you have your UDB Street directory handy just click on the Zoom icon (6th icon from left) and enter the UDB page number and co-ordinates and it will take your straight there. It was around before Google Earth and for some areas has better

Pubs of Balmain Peninsula
OK, when the weather's bad and you can't go kayaking perhaps you can have fun exploring Balmain. For lunch I'd recommend either the Royal Oak or Dry Dock Hotels. There's also no shortage of coffee shops and restaurants. Balmain markets is on each Saturday just across the road from the London Hotel.
